為了生活打拼，我們每天早出晚歸，壓力大到無法排解，通常會依靠大啖美食或是狂嗑影劇來緩解壓力，現在竟然有研究指出：聞另一半的味道，竟然能夠緩解壓力？
「五感生活美學」原來已悄悄走進我們日常，你知道是哪五感嗎？
根據《性格與社會心理學雜誌》（Journal of Personality and Social Psychology）所刊登的研究顯示：另一半的香味能夠有效降低壓力等級，甚至不需要他們本人在場！
在之前的科學研究就發現，伴侶的實際存在能夠緩解壓力。但英屬哥倫比亞大學（University of British Columbia）想要進一步研究他們的「味道」是否能有相同的效果。他們招募了96對異性戀情侶，並要求男性穿著T-shirt 24小時，並禁止他們使用任何止汗劑或是體香產品，研究期間也不能抽煙或是食用具有濃厚香味的食物。
根據研究人員Marlise Hofer所述，其中以男生作為產生體味的實驗組，是因為通常男性比女性更容易產生體味。而女性一般來說，本身具有較好的嗅覺。女性伴侶必須聞他們伴侶的上衣味道，然後接受模擬工作面試或高難度的數學測驗，藉以刺激他們的壓力程度。
研究顯示，聞過伴侶上衣的女性，比起聞乾淨衣服、陌生人上衣的女性，感受到的壓力程度較低，並且能夠表現得更好。
另一方面，他們也發現如果聞過陌生人所穿著的上衣，反而會提升壓力程度，研究人員Hofer表示，人類生來擁有懼怕陌生人的本能，尤其是陌生男性的體味。因此有可能陌生男性的味道會激發內在的戰鬥本能，即使我們根本沒有意識到。
因此女生可以藉機跟男友借衣服穿，擴充自己衣櫃的同時，還可以減緩生活壓力。但相反地，男生該怎麼做呢？這邊研究人員提出另一個觀點，有許多男性喜歡聞女朋友的髮香，其實也是相同的道理。或者是可以聞聞女友的枕頭或衣物，藉以緩解壓力。
